Why go

Why take a 3 Days tour Ouarzazte to Marrakech ?

This compact odyssey condenses Morocco’s epic contrasts into just three days. Camel treks at dawn across the undulating dunes of Erg Chebbi offer both serenity and the thrill of sandboarding, while the rose-scented gorges of the Dades Valley and the sheer limestone cliffs of Todra Gorge showcase some of the grandest spectacles of geology.

Skoura’s restored Kasbah Amridil, surrounded by date palms, is a living museum of 17th-century desert architecture. In Khamlia, sub-Saharan Gnawa music pulses through the dunes, bridging Berber and African heritage.

Finally, the Draa Valley’s palm-lined caravan route and the craggy Anti-Atlas foothills offer a taste of remote adventure before returning to the bustling souks of Marrakech.

Tour Highlights

Itinerary – 3 Days tour Ouarzazte to Marrakech

Day 1 – Ouarzazate to Merzouga (≈370 km; ~6 h)

After breakfast, depart Ouarzazate and visit the historic Kasbah Taourirt, where mud-brick towers and cinema studios recall Hollywood epics.

In Skoura, stroll through lush palm groves to the 17th-century Kasbah Amridil. Its Adobe chambers evoke desert life from centuries past. Continue along the fragrant Rose Valley, where small distilleries produce rosewater from terraced blooms.

The road then climbs into the sculpted cliffs of the Dades Gorge before dropping into the narrow Todra Gorge. There, you will walk beside a crystal river under soaring limestone walls.

After a brief stop in Erfoud’s fossil workshops, you will arrive in Merzouga, where you will take a camel trek into Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets and the sands turn golden, settle into your luxury camp for dinner and drumming beneath a star-studded sky.

Rise before dawn to silently witness the desert sunrise, when the dunes glow rose and amber. After a hearty camp breakfast, embark on a 4×4 excursion through nomadic lands and black volcanic plains to Khamlia village.

There, Gnawa musicians will share their centuries-old spiritual rhythms. Visit the seasonal wetlands of Merzouga Lake to spot flamingos and other migratory birds. Enjoy mint tea with your Bedouin hosts before trying sandboarding down steep dunes.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a second camel ride back to camp, where a Berber feast and campfire stories await you under the vast desert sky.

Enjoy one last Saharan sunrise before heading to the lush Draa Valley. Its palm-lined river corridor is dotted with ancient adobe ksour. The route skirts the Anti-Atlas foothills, where terraced Berber villages cling to ochre slopes.

Stop in Ouarzazate for lunch or a quick photo at Atlas Film Studios. The winding ascent over the Tizi N’Tichka Pass offers sweeping vistas of the High Atlas peaks and the plains of Marrakech below.

By early evening, you will arrive in Marrakech, where the call to prayer mingles with the pulse of Jemaa el-Fnaa. This will conclude your desert-to-medina adventure.
