Day trip Marrakech to Ouzoud Falls

Depart from Marrakech at dawn in a climate-controlled minibus. Your driver will steer through palm-dotted plains until olive and argan groves lead you into the foothills of the Middle Atlas Mountains.

 Around mid-morning, you will arrive at the entrance to Ouzoud, where a narrow path will descend through dappled shade to the first viewpoint. Above you, the falls drum against the red rock walls. Pause to sip mint tea in a café carved into the cliffside.

 Following stone stairways, you wind your way closer to the base, where a traditional wooden boat awaits. As you drift into the plunging spray, feel the mist of the falls cool your skin while sunbeams ignite rainbows around you.

 Back on land, a network of side trails beckons you to explore. Swim in hidden pools, search for playful macaques, or simply linger beneath tamarisk trees. By midafternoon, you return to the road, accompanied by satisfying memories of cascading water and mountain air.

 As the sun lowers and olive groves blur past, you arrive in Marrakech by early evening, having been recharged by nature’s spectacle yet still within reach of the bustling medina.
