After sampling dates at seasonal Merzouga Lake, pause among the enormous dunes of Erg Chebbi for some sandboarding.

Head north to revisit Erfoud’s fossil bazaars for last-minute treasures, then climb into Midelt’s apple-sprinkled high plains where crisp mountain air greets you.
Then, the road winds through Azrou’s cedar forests, home to agile Barbary macaques scampering among towering trunks, before crossing into Ifrane. Its alpine villas and manicured parks have earned Ifrane the nickname “Morocco’s Switzerland.”
