Tour Highlights

Itinerary – 4 Days Tour Casablanca to Marrakech

Day 1: Coastal Majesty to Imperial Grandeur (≈ 300 km)

Your private guide will greet you at your hotel or the airport in Casablanca at dawn. As you explore the mosaic-clad courtyard of the Hassan II Mosque, you will see its ornate minaret soaring over the cerulean waves of the Atlantic.

A winding coastal drive will bring you to Rabat, where the mausoleum of Mohammed V and the unfinished Hassan Tower stand amid fragrant orange trees. Over mint tea at a riverside café, reflect on the Amazigh and Arabic influences that shaped this administrative capital.

In the afternoon, the road winds through rolling wheat fields to Meknes, where the majestic gate of Bab Mansour recalls the grand ambitions of Sultan Moulay Ismail.

As dusk falls, you arrive in Fes. You check into a charming riad tucked behind ancient walls and drift through lantern-lit alleyways to enjoy your dinner of harira and couscous under a lantern-lit courtyard sky.

After a leisurely breakfast at the riad, depart Fes for Ifrane, nicknamed “Little Switzerland,” where alpine chalets and manicured gardens feel improbably European at an altitude of 1,650 meters.

A short drive into the cedar-fringed hills brings you to Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques that emerge from the trees to share your path.

In Midelt, you will have lunch on the auburn plateau beneath the Atlas Mountains before descending via winding roads to the date-lined Ziz Valley, where palm trees sway over spring-fed oases.

By late afternoon, you will reach Merzouga. With the sun low on the horizon, you will climb onto your camel for a slow trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes.

You arrive at a desert camp as the sky blazes orange. Share stories and Berber drum rhythms around the fire, then fall asleep to the serenade of shifting sands.

Awaken before sunrise and gaze at the rosy light of dawn spilling across the rippling dunes. Then, enjoy mint tea at camp before riding back.

Your route across the Atlas Mountains leads west through Errachidia toward the towering Todra Gorge in Tinghir—narrow red cliffs rising 300 meters above the riverbed—where you will hike the canyon floor beneath their sheer walls.

After lunch, drive the Dades Road through the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing ochre-hued fortresses and sculpted rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers.”  Then, settle in for a restful night at a charming hotel perched above the gorge.

After breakfast, wind through the rose gardens of the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” There, Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah have hosted scenes from Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

The Tizi N’Tichka Pass rises to 2,260 meters, offering sweeping panoramas of red-brown peaks. Then, you will descend to the sun-baked, clay walls of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is photogenic at every angle.

Finally, a drive through argan-dotted foothills will bring you to Marrakech by late afternoon. There, the call to prayer echoes over Jemaa el-Fna’s bustling square—an electrifying prologue or epilogue, depending on how you tell the story.
