Your desert adventure begins with a warm welcome at our meeting point (you can find the exact location on the map below). Our professional local guide will lead you to our comfortable desert base, where you can relax with a glass of fresh, traditional Moroccan mint tea. Before we head into the dunes, you will have full access to our facilities to refresh, use the restrooms, or change into your desert attire. Once you are ready, we will introduce you to your camel to begin your unforgettable sunset trek.

The Camel Trek & Photography

Once you are ready, your Sunset Camel Ride officially begins. Accompanied by our experienced local camel guide, you will mount your camel and embark on a peaceful 1-hour journey into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

As you travel deeper into the shifting sands, you will experience the incredible silence and beauty of the Sahara. Along the way, we will stop at a scenic location in the dunes, giving you the perfect opportunity to capture professional-quality photos from above your camel. Your guide will be happy to help you take these pictures, ensuring you have beautiful memories of your time in the Moroccan desert.

Sandboarding & The Sunset

Next, your Sunset Camel Ride takes you to the foot of the highest dunes in Erg Chebbi. Here, you will get off your camel and take a short walk to the top of the dune. From the summit, you can see a beautiful Panoramic view of the whole desert.

Once you are at the top, it is time for fun! You can try sandboarding as many times as you like. Our friendly guides will show you how to slide down the sand safely. As the sun starts to go down, you will watch a spectacular Moroccan sunset. The sand turns a beautiful gold and orange color—it is the perfect time to take amazing photos before we ride back.

The Return

Once the sun disappears behind the dunes, your Sunset Camel Ride begins its final journey. You will get back on your camel and enjoy a quiet ride through the cooling desert air. Our guide will lead you safely back to our desert camp. This is where your tour ends, and we hope you take home beautiful memories of the Sahara with you.
